Christmas Cards | with Waffleflower

Hello my crafty friends, so happy you are back on my blog. Today I’am showing you two Christmas Cards using the positive and the negativ from my die cuts. So a 2 for 1 card.

I know Christmas is over but I had this amazing background die from Waffleflower and I really wanted to use it. I also used this cards for the WaffleFlower Garden Facebook Challenge, which you should check.

So enough said, lets get started with the step by step for both cards.

First I want to tell you all the products I have used for this project, that’s make it easier and you can just click on the product so you will be directly connect to the website:

Waffle Flower Christmas Tree Panel Die

Waffle Flower Big Dots Holiday Stamp Set

Waffle Flower Frames Die

Waffle Flower Horizontal Stripes Die

WOW! Embossing Ink

WOW! Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White

WOW! Embossing Powder Metallic Gold Rich

Different kind of cardstock from different companies like (The Stamp Market / Lawn Fawn / Faltkarten.com)

I started by creating the background of the card. First I used the the Waffle Flower Horizontal Stripes Die to cut all the different color strips. I have to admit that I really love to use stripes and I get inspire a lot by the cards from Laura Bassen I really love her cards soo much.

Then I did adhere all the stripes in rainbow order on a piece of white cardstock using my adhesive runner. After I had all the stripes glued down  I used the Waffle Flower Christmas Tree Panel die and run it through my die cut machine. That way I had a perfect cut stripe panel with all the little trees. I tried to keep all the little trees on the die, that way I could use them for my second card.

I did cut down a piece of gold cardstock to the same size as my stripe panel and just adhere it on the back of it. So now I had a lot of golden trees locking through my rainbow panel. I love how it shines through the trees.

Last but not least I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock in white and used one of the Waffle Flower Fram dies to have a perfect frame for my sentiment. I adhered all together on a black cardstock base and thats it.

For my second card I used the little trees that I still had stucked on my die.

To get them on my card panel I did cut a piece of craft cardstock down to 5 1/2 and 4 Then I added some liquid glue on each tree and just pushed my card panel right onto it. I did just turn the die around and pushed all the little trees onto my card panel. That way I got all the tress straight and it is faster then to glue each tree separate.

For the sentiment I did the same as on my first card, heat emboss this time in gold onto a piece of black cardstock and die cut using the Waffle Flower Frames Die.

And thats it, I had so much fun using this amazing Christmas Tree Panel die. I got two cards I can send out on Christmas already this year.

I hope you like both of the cards and I would be so happy if you could leave a comment just below.
