Case me a Christmas Card

Hello my crafty friends, I’am so happy to be part of my friends Michelle Lupton Case me a Christmas Card Challenge.

It was all about choosing one of her cards and case it… that means like copy it but doing it in your way.

And that’s what I did … on the first picture you will see Michelles card and then I show you what I created. Hope you guys like it.

First I started by cutting a piece of vellum down to an A2 card base. Its important to take care and keep the vellum away from any glue or dirt on your working space 🙂

I wanted to use almost the same colors as Michelle did, but without using any ink. Therefor I did cut 3 strips from some color cardstock. I used a piece of copy paper to glue the strips down using some Gina K connect glue.

The sentiment I used is from the Simon Says Stamp stamp set „CZ Design Clear Stamps LET’S MAKE A TAG Holly Jolly“ I did heat emboss the Merry using some WOW! Embossing Metallic Gold Rich powder  as well as the little christmas strip.

For the flower background I have used a die from Sizzix called „Blossom Frame“ I did die cut the frame from some white cardstock and then just cut it in two pieces, as the die is very big and I just needed some of the flowers showing of on both sides.

So after I had everything embossed and cut it was time to glue everything down onto my vellum card base. I also used some Gina K Connect Glue for this. I also did die cut everything again and adhere it just on the back, that way you don’t see any glue through the vellum.

Last but not least I added some white dots from The Stamp Market just to give it a nice clean look.

And that’s it my friends, now just jump over to Michelle’s blog and check out which card she made.

I want to thank Michelle again for having me as her guest and you can also check out her Instagram Profil and see all the wonderful cards she creates.

I wish all of you a wonderful week and stay safe and healthy.

Hola, Daniel! Feliz Navidad! ⛄ Okay, your card (and Michelle ’s) are gorgeous. Plus, I absolutely love vellum. So, is this like heavy duty vellum that you used? Is that a dumb question? And why does it look shiny in the photo? My vellum doesn’t behave like yours. haha haha Sorry for so many questions, but I gotta know so I can try it.
Feliz Navidad, Daniel. ⛄⛄
